曾翠薇　TSANG Chui Mei

　　曾翠薇1972年出生，現於香港生活和工作。她是2005 年「夏利豪基金會二十週年藝術比賽」冠軍得主，曾於歐洲及亞洲舉辦眾多展覽。部分作品亦被香港藝術館及世界各地的私藏家所收藏。2015年，曾翠薇更被西帖國際藝術中心獲選參加藝術家進駐巴黎計劃。她的創作融匯中西方藝術，作品著重形態和情感多於具體的空間，善於運用色彩、線條、視角和構圖所賦予的力量，表達出畫家感性的一面。她偏好抒情的主題，構圖多轉化自觀察及視覺元素。繪畫作品中從表達著明顯的主題、隱喻的、主觀的，到難以啟齒的情感。那漂浮的未知狀態，或許指涉著一個無物之地。

　　本次展覽所展出的系列，是曾翠薇在參照意筆國畫的視覺語言，與西方繪畫的超現實主義和抽象表現主義風格融合之後所創造出的實驗形式。它記錄了作者試圖採取諸如「挪用」和「混合」的手段，藉此重新審視主觀性和精神性的概念。
